Inexpensive date ideas

Are you looking for inexpensive date ideas? Me too, and I dont really think any of these ideas will be that good. If you are anything like me, then you hate spending money on romance crap. Maybe its because we are guys, but we would rather spend it on a new tv or the latest video game. That is why I have come up with these inexpensive date ideas. Hopefully they will save you money, but maybe they wont...

Lets face it, most "dates" are gonna cost you a little money. So if you really dont have any money, then these inexpensive date ideas might not be right for you. But if you've got a little cash to burn, then continue! The first inexpensive date idea would be to go to your local thrift shop. Make a list before you go of crazy and or exotic items you have to find. Sort of a scavenger hunt if you will. This will keep you busy for a while. Another spin you could take with this inexpensive date idea would be to set aside a small amount of money before you go and whoever can get either the coolest item or the most items wins! You'll probably end up with a bunch of useless junk that you will end up giving back, but it should make for a pretty interesting date!

Another inexpensive date idea would to become a stalker! No, I'm not telling you to really stalk someone, as that is illegal so dont do it, but the whole concept is to go to a local downtown type area that has a bunch of people. A mall would probably work too. But you pick one person and follow them where ever they go. Lets just call it the "follow them" game. When they stop to go into a store, follow someone else. See where this takes you. I'll point out a couple of obvious points about this inexpensive date idea. Dont follow too closely, as you dont want them to think you are stalking them. You're really not, but some people might get freaked out. And I'll say this right now, in no way am I responsible for any trouble you get into. If you think this will get you into trouble, then dont do it! There are plenty of other inexpensive date ideas that you could do.

Play a little truth or dare. This is probably one of the best inexpensive date ideas out there. And it could possibly turn out to be one of the most fun. This is an excellent date idea for people who want to get to know each other a little better. Everybody knows the unspoken law of truth or dare and how you cant lie. You'll probably want to pick a nice quiet spot where you wont be disturbed, incase the truth or dare starts heating up! Not too shabby of an inexpensive date, as you wont have to spend a dime!

Of course, the inexpensive date ideas are really only for us cheap guys. But, even for us cheap guys, there is no way that all you can pull of is inexpensive dates. You will have to buy an occasional dinner, and occasionally go out to a movie or play or something silly like that. So just enjoy your inexpensive dates while you can. Hope you enjoyed these inexpensive date ideas, I know your wallet did!

Awesome Date Ideas

Welcome back to another session of awesome date ideas. Picking the right idea for your date is important, but you need to make sure you know what your date likes. It doesnt make sense to do an outdoorsy activity with someone who just isnt into that sorta thing. And likewise, it doesnt make sense to do some boring and drab date with someone who is looking for an exciting time. So we have listed here some more awesome date ideas. And also, dont forget to be thinking about that perfect romantic gift idea either, cause women love gifts, even if you make them and dont cost a whole lot. More about that later though.

Awesome date ideas

Go for a swim - Now unless you live in Alaska(and even then I bet they have heated pools), you can do this anytime you want. Swimming can be an awesome excuse to see your date half naked. Did I say half naked. I meant see them in a different light :D But seriously, going to your local gym or rec center can actually make for a pretty fun date. I know that was actually what me and my wife did. Tons of fun.

Go teepee someones house - Now, I believe if you can't teepee someones house with your date, then either you are no fun, or you are dating a drab. The harmless act of recreational landscaping is both fun and thrilling. The chances of getting caught while knowing if you did get caught that nothing seriously bad could happen to you. Well, unless you teepee your ex, or your dates ex. Then they might get ya for trespassing. Still couldnt imagine a cop keeping a straight face while trying to bust you though... (and I know its not a very romantic date idea, but still pretty fun :D)

What is the perfect romantic gift idea? We'll be figuring that out pretty soon...

Dancing under the stars, anytime of the year, under any conditions - This romantic date idea is a keeper, and you can use it anytime. It is mainly for the menfolk that are looking to impress the ladies with some "creative" sappy date idea. Well, the gist of it is this: go down to your local hobby or craft store, like michaels, get some of those glow in the dark sticker stars, paste em to your ceiling(dont worry, they come off pretty easy), put some light on em all afternoon, then bring her over and put on some of her favorite music and viola! You have a romantic date that didnt cost you a whole lot and she'll think that you are creative! But you may want to come up with something creative when it comes to a romantic gift idea too!

So, you can keep these ideas in your little book of date ideas. Remember, chicks dig creativity, and guys dont really care as long as there is some "fun" along the way, and you ladies know what I mean ;) So hopefully these ideas have helped you out, and thanks for visiting our romantic date ideas! If you were looking for romantic gift ideas, stay tuned...

If your looking to make money online

I know this blog is about romantic date and gift ideas, but what better way to pay for all those dates and gifts then from an online business. And if you have ever actually looked into making money online, then you know exactly what a mess that whole world is. That is why Vic, amongst a few others(and I really mean only a few), are trully amazing. He tell's you how it is without selling you an e-book. He gives you real world examples from real experience. Vic also holds nothing back, which in my opinion is quite refreshing. I have been reading from his blog, bloggerunleashed.com, for a few months now. I have only been fiddling with the ideas he has presented and havent actually worked at it, which is why I havent made any money yet. That's the other thing why I like what Vic teaches. He teaches that HARD WORK is the only way to make money online. There is no substitute. There is no "magic bullet" as he puts it. All the knowledge and expertise in the world wont do you any good without actually applying what you know and working your butt off. So while I've been watching and learning, I personally havent been applying. I have made up my mind and am about to change all that. So if you have ever ventured into making money online, head over to Bloggerunleashed.com and get ready to learn, and to work.

P.S.
Vic is a little rough around the edges, and like I said, has no problem speaking his mind. So you probably don't want to watch his videos with little ones around. :)

P.S.S
The "few others" I mentioned in the post about making money online would be Griz and Court. You can find there sites here:
Griz - Make Money Online
Court - Internet Marketing

The Date Ideas Are Back

Hello everyone. Sorry that I stopped adding date and gift ideas and that I haven't added any in a while. Hopefully you didn't miss me too much and were able to get through your date just fine. If not, welcome back for another batch of date ideas to make planning your next date a breeze. Being a guy, I know how difficult it can be sometimes to come up with something creative and fun, while trying to show a little bit of your romantic side. Cause we all know what happens if you don't show a little romantic interest. It's called the friend zone. And once you're there, typically there ain't no going back. So, hopefully these date ideas will keep it fun while keeping you out of the friend zone.

Friend Zone Free Date Idea #1 - Ballroom Dancing

You want me to do what? I know this idea seems a little out there, and maybe a little, how do you say, gay? But let me ask you this fellas. Have you ever seen ballroom dancing? I mean, you get up close and personal with your dancing partner. Like, all up in their grill up close. Not only that, but you get to show her that your not just like every other guy out there, because let me tell you, not too many guys take girls dancing. And no, I don't consider going to the club dancing. So, you get to touch her in places that in any other situation would be inappropriate, while showing her that you are interested in stuff that she likes. To me, that is a win-win date idea that will keep you well out of the friend zone.

Friend Zone Free Date Idea #2 - County or State Fair

That's right, I said the fair. It is also sometimes known as the carnival, and it's not just for white trash or rednecks. The nice thing about the carnival is that it is a one stop shop for fun and good times. You can do so many things at the fair, from fast and exciting rides, to the slow and romantic ones. Of course, you can always put your own spin on the rides or events at the fair, such as betting a kiss that you can hit that hammer and make the bell go ding. And there is no better a romantic gift then that over sized teddy bear you could win her. But just make sure you do get close at some point during the evening, or its straight to the friend zone box for you!

Friend Zone Free Date Idea #3 - Go for a bike ride

This idea only works if you got a bike. And not the pedal kind. Nothing is more manly then going on a ride with your woman holding onto you tight. And if you can find a canyon, or a road with lots of curves, you can make her hold on extra tight :) Plus, she'll see you can handle yourself and will build her trust in you. There's just no way around it, women love bike rides. Oh, and it doesn't count if you got one of those crotch rockets. It's gotta be a real bike, a cruiser. A Harley is ok, but I prefer BMW bikes. The R1200 series is sweet!

Ok, so we've given you some date ideas that will hopefully steer you clear of the abyss known as the Friend Zone. Remember, the key to staying out of the friend zone is to let her know you are interested in her beyond the friend level. What does that mean exactly, or how do you do that? Well, you gotta get physical :) I'm not talking about the old one armed hug, or trying to get down her pants on the first date, but somewhere right in between. Maybe its a kiss, or cuddling up on the couch. Basically, try to think of something you wouldn't do with a friend, and you're on the right track. Well, come back next time for more date ideas and possibly even some gift ideas.

And the Countdown Goes On

Well, now you're down to 5 days left. What to do. You still have some breathing room, but as the days roll on, you will obviously have to become more creative, as the more popular romantic date ideas that require reservations will be gone. Todays idea will be fun and creative, for both you trying to learn, and your date laughing at your feeble attempts, unless you get really good within 5 days.

5 Days Left...

Ok, so I bet you're wondering where the heck I'm going with this. Well, alacazam! Here is your date idea.

Romantic Date Idea (For 5 days left) - Lets make some magic!

Magic, and yes I'm being serious, can make for both a fun night, and for an intersting time trying to learn it. You can go so many ways with this. You could do the solo act, with card tricks and the white rabbit out of the hat routine, or you could get your date involved, like with the whole sawing her in half bit. Or both. It would probably be best with both. Now, where in the heck do you learn magic? Well, if you type in 'learn magic' into the google search bar, you will find many high quality sites with all sorts of different tricks you can learn. And if you can learn sleight of hand quick enough, you can start the date off by giving her flowers in a cool way. If you're gonna base your whole date on this idea, I would recomend going all out and getting a costume and setting up a "stage" with all the props. Otherwise, you can just throw in a few tricks to lighten up any other date idea of your choice. All in all, learning magic is something you can always use to impress your friends, so is something that you can probably use for the rest of your life.

Romantic Gift Idea (For 5 days left) - The movie bucket

You can't just give her a dvd and be done with it. That would be too easy. So, sprinkle some creative fairy dust on it. First, get a romantic movie that she likes. All women like some form of a romantic movie. My wife isnt a big fan of sappy chick flicks, but there are a few she does like. If she already has all of her favorites, well, sucks to be you. Just kidding. Just get her a comedy. I have found that if there is anything else women like besides romance, it's comedy. Now that you have the movie, go to Wal-Mart or Target and find a movie bucket. They will probably be in the dishes section. If you can't find them there, then go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Now, we got the movie, we got the bucket, we need popcorn. Thats an easy find. Then, print out or draw up two movie passes, good for one night without any distractions, so you can enjoy your movie. If you want, you can throw in her favorite candy and drink.

So, another day down. Hopefully you have already started making plans, so you're not scrambling at the last minute. Our romantic date ideas will hopefully give you a head start, and our romantic gift ideas will hopefully make her think you are creative :) You're welcome.

The Countdown Continues

So, you got 6 days left now before the big day. And by big day I mean Valentines Day. My guess is if you are looking at this, then you have no idea what to do, and you probably havent gotten her anything else either. Well my friend, you came to the right place. Today's romantic date idea should be doable with 6 days left. And when it comes to her romantic gift, today we will hopefully give you some creative ideas, so at least you will have some place to start from.

6 Days Left...

Well, don't be freaking out too much just yet. While you only have 6 days left, you still have a decent amount of time to get something together. You still got options. Hopefully you live in a town or city with a bunch of non-creative, non-romantic people, cause that will of course make it easier to make your last minute plans. This romantic date idea should be relatively easy to arrange with 6 days left, depending on where you live.

Romantic Date Idea (For 6 days left) - Mount Up!

No, I didn't mean that way ;) Get your mind out of the gutter. (Although, if your loved one likes horses, who knows :)) Depending on where you live, it may or may not be an easy thing to get a horse ride arranged. I know where I'm at in Colorado, there are a bunch of stables and probably wouldnt have too hard of a time renting some horses for an evening. This date idea has caught on for the whole romantic evening thing. Personally, I don't find a horse ride very romantic, but women, for the most part, really seem to like horses. Eh. If this sounds like something you would like to do, or something you know your special someone would like to do, the price range is anywhere from $30 a person to $150 a person, at least here in Colorado. Obviously the more expensive rides are the longer rides, and the cheaper ones being the shorter rides. And depending on where you go, you could be riding through mountain trails, or just trotting around on somebodys land. Either way, this romantic date idea should be rather easy to get reservations for.

Romantic Gift Idea (For 6 days left) - If you wish upon a star

You may not be able to give her the moon, but you can come pretty darn close. Buy her a star. Even at the most expensive price, it's still cheaper then some dumb old diamond bracelet, or necklace. And the cool thing is, it will probably last A LOT longer, and it doesnt require any maintenence :) And if it does blow up, it will turn into a black hole, and then that black hole may go around the universe sucking up everything in its path. And when it reaches earth and is sucking everything off of the planet, you will be the one who named it! Sorry about that, I just watched something on the history channel about stars blowing up and turning into black holes and destroying the universe. But seriously, the price range for buying a star is anywhere from $54 plus s&h, to $479 plus s&h. You can get them from the official international star registry here: Name a Star at StarRegistry.com

Thanks for stopping by. I know I promised you more creative gift ideas, but once again have run out of time. You only get so many hours in a day :(. But come back tomorrow for day 5's romantic date idea and romantic gift idea. I'll try and come up with a gift idea that doesn't cost a whole lot, and maybe even bring out your creative side.

Valentines Day Countdown

Well, Valentines Day is right around the corner, and you probably don't have any idea what you are going to do, and what you are going to give her. So, I figured that maybe it would be a good idea to begin the Valentines Day Countdown. We'll be coming up with different date ideas and different gift ideas, and correspond them with how much time you have left. Example, you obviously are gonna have a hard time making reservations to the most romantic place in town within a week, so something you can do with 7 days left is to make reservations to a lesser romantic place, and then set up something romantic afterwards, like dancing under the stars or going on a carriage ride. If you wait till the very last minute, you'll be eating at Mcdonalds and going to the movies, and probably not even a good movie cause there really isn't any out right now. So, here is a list of some romantic gift ideas and romantic date ideas, for day 7

7 Days Left...

Well, now would be a good time to start calling to arrange for carriage rides, checking to see if any concerts are available, and maybe even checking some classier, roamantic restaurants to see if there is anything available. Depending on where you live, these ideas might already be taken. If so, you're just gonna have to get creative. I know, I said the C word. But don't worry. We're gonna give you some alternatives.

Romantic Date Idea (For 7 days left) - Hope you have some single friends...

This idea will only work if you have single friends, or little brothers or sisters, or nephews or neices, or basically anybody that is old enough to be your maitre d for the evening but not old enough to have any plans for Valentines. The idea is to set up a romantic setting in your kitchen, or anywhere else you want to eat dinner, and make it look like a fancy restaurant. Then get your volunteer to serve you your dinner. Now, there are several ways this could go. With single friends, depending on how good of friends you are, you're either gonna have to cough up some cash, or owe them a solid. It would probably be more on the serious romantic side as well. But, if you go with the little kid option, you will get the cute factor, which is also good. And the bonus to that is, kids will probably take a trip to dairy queen for their payment, or a $5 toy at Toys'R'Us, depending on the kid and the age of course. Either way, having someone else serve you dinner will give the two of you more time to spend togetjer, and if done right, can actually be better then going out to that fancy smancy restaurant anyway.

Romantic Gift Idea (For 7 days left) - Don't worry, you still got options

I would say that with 7 days left, you are still pretty much safe. If you are buying her jewelry, you still got time to get it resized. If you are buying her something online, you will more then likely have it in time, as there is still 5 business days as of today before the 14th. Just remember that when buying her something, you gotta speak her language. For guys who have been with their significant other a while, you know what I mean. For fellas still getting to know their honeys, just stick with the basics and you'll probably will be alright. Click here if you need some basic gift idea guidelines. Just remember to put some effort into the idea, or at least make it look like you did.

Well, I gotta run. I know I really didnt give any real gift idea today, so come back tomorrow and I'll some actual ideas. Just remember when it comes to gifts, you typically can't go wrong with jewelry, even though I know its not always the most practical idea. Thanks for stopping by and come back tomorrow for Romantic Date Ideas and Romantic Gift Ideas for day 6, as the countdown continues...

For all those single guys out there...

Todays post won't be too horribly long. It's aimed at the single guys out there, and if used will more then likely keep you single. They're not good romantic date ideas or the perfect romantic gift idea. You guessed it, cheasy one liners! Oh and ladies, not to discriminate, you can use these too.
  • How much does a polar bear weigh? - Enough to break the ice, Hi I'm...
  • Did you hear the latest health report? - You need to up your daily intake of me!
  • My magical watch says your not wearing any panties. Oh you are? It must be an hour fast.
  • Do you believe in love at first site...or do I need to walk by again.
  • Do you have 35 cents? Why? Because my mom told me to call her when I fell in love.
  • You must be exhausted...cause you've been running through my mind all night
  • I wish I had my library card...cause I'm checking you out.
  • That dress looks very becoming on you. Of course, I'd be coming if I was on you too.
  • Can you help me? I'm looking for the fastest way to your heart?
  • I hear your legs are the word of the day. What do you say we go back to my place and spread the word?
  • Do you have a bandaid? Becuase I just scraped my knee falling for you.
  • Got two nipples for a dime?
  • Your eyes are bluer then the ocean, and Im lost at sea.
  • Hi, I'm your new milkman. Do you want it in the front or in the back?
  • Hi, I must be a lightswitch, cause everytime I see you, you turn me on.
  • Help, somethings wrong with my eyes, I can't seem to take them off you.
  • Baby, you must be a broom becuase you swept me of my feet
  • What has 140 teeth and holds back the incredible hulk? (point to zipper)
  • I know a great way to burn some calories

Well, that's just for starters. We'll probably add some more later. Next post will probably focus on romantic gift ideas, since Valentines day is coming up.

Fun Date Ideas

Welcome back everyone to another exciting episode of romantic date ideas. We will be focusing on fun date ideas this go round. Writing that just now made me have a think... Shouldn't all dates be fun? I mean, even the sappy romantic dates should have at least one or two fun ideas thrown in the mix right? I would certainly hope so. So, you can use these ideas for an entire whole date, or maybe just add it to what you had already planned to spiced things up. Either way, you'll have FUN!

Fun Date Idea #1 - Hope your not afraid of heights.

Now, before we get started, these date ideas will probably end up costing you a little bit. Now, I'm gonna try and come up with some cheap fun date ideas later, but for now, plan on spending a little bit. And there's nothing wrong with dropping a few dollars to have a good time. As I see it, moderation in all things. I don't think spending a $100 bucks or more every weekend would be justified, unless your friggn rich, but from time to time on a modest budget, you should spend some money to have a good time. Life is too short. That being said, fun date idea numero uno would be bungee jumping. Now, most guys would be down like mo town to do this, so it might be up to you fellas to convince your lady friend to go along. You could always tell them you're going to the opera, by the bridge with the hundred foot drop :)

Price range: Looks like you'd be paying anywhere from around $50 to $450 per jump, depending on how extreme you want to get (the $450 price is jumping from a helicopter :)) Then there's the traveling part of it as well, if you don't live near a jump zone. So you could totally make this a road trip. Yes! Here is a link to a site that has some different locations and prices:

Bungee jumping prices and locations

Fun Date Idea #2 - Wait until 30 minutes after eating

You guessed it. This idea may or may not involve swimming, depending on how good you are, or where you decide to do it, rafting that is. White water rafting can be fun for everyone, except for people like my dad who hates the water. The reason it can be fun for anyone is that it covers people who just want to have a little adventure, or people who are a little on the crazy side and like near death experiences. You do this by choosing the river you go on, the time of year you go, and who you go with. There are some rafting companies that will give the option for a crazier part of the river, or the more laid back part of the river, depending where you go. The nice thing about this, there are rivers all over the place, at least here on the west coast, and pretty much every river has got some sort of rafting tours on it. So, you wont really have to travel that far, and rafting is fun date idea that is reasonably priced, and the more people you have, the cheaper it is. Typically.

Price range: For adults, prices range from $50 - $100 for a 10 mile trip. Kids prices range from $40 - $80 for a 10 mile trip. These prices were just an average from some different rafting companies in Colorado. You probably wanna look up what ever river you're going to raft to get an estimate for that river. More then likely will fall into the same price range.

Fun Date Idea #3 - Boring... or is it?

My next idea may fall under the boring category for most guys. Visiting a museum or science center. But before you change the channel dude, just hear me out. I was one of those guys too. When we were dating, my wife took me to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. I was thinking the whole time on the way over, "This is gonna be a loooooong afternoon". But when we got there, it was surprisingly pretty awesome. Now mind you, they do have a planetarium there, which did help the sweetness factor. But all in all, it was a fun afternoon. An added bonus to this fun date idea fellas, it falls into the whole "culture factor" that women like so much. Think of it this way, its either this or the ballet :(

Well, that about wraps it up. I hoped you learned a thing or two. And as always, keep coming back for more updates and more fun date ideas.

Romantic Gift Ideas

Welcome back everyone for this weeks ideas for the perfect romantic gifts. Now, first things first. The Rules of Gift Giving.

Gift Rule # 1 - Take it easy, for sheezy

This means you. It should be common sense, but don't be giving her any sort of jewelry or anything else along those lines. Most guys wouldn't anyways, but if it crossed your mind... Gifts should not be given until, oh, about the third to fifth date. And even then, you want to start off slow, with something small and nothing too romantic. Of course, flowers don't count, and can actually impress. Believe it or not, a lot of girls have never gotten flowers before, either from being overlooked by their previous dates or just going out with the wrong guys. Back when I was dating, it blew my mind how many girls I would bring flowers for and the response was "Wow, I never gotten flowers before". And I know what some of you are thinking, "Romancy Pants, they were just patronizing you, or you were their first date or boyfriend." But, on the second or third date, after I had gotten to know them, I found out that their previous boyfriends just didn't treat them right. So, I would definitely give my stamp of approval on flowers for your first date, but again, I don't really consider a gift idea per say.

Gift Rule # 2 - What goes around comes around

When getting a gift for a loved one, do not consider something both of you can use as a "romantic" gift idea. This is mainly for men, because that's just the way we think. I think a big flat screen tv is very sexy and or romantic. And even though my wife would love it too, it still would not fall into the romantic category for her. And I shouldn't even have to say this one, but I'm gonna. Do not get her something that only you are interested in. That reminds me of that one Simpsons episode where Homer gets Marge a bowling ball for her birthday, with his name on it!!! Now I really doubt anyone in the real world has been that stupid, but it would not surprise me. So, the best way to get the perfect gift is to figure out what it is that your lovey dovey really likes. For example, if she likes a particular animal, like dolphins, or cutesy bugs, like ladybugs, look online and you can find all sorts of cool jewelry with all different types of animals and other objects. And just remember, women like to see you put in some effort, almost more then the gift you give them. And the more happy she is, the more happy you will be, if you catch my drift :)

Now that we have a couple of rules down, Lets get to the actual gift ideas. Now remember, don't just copy off of what we have here. You're gonna wanna tailor fit the idea to your women, or man. I think we will list gift ideas for women first. So guys, pay attention!

Romantic Gift Ideas For Women

  1. A "Show me the Love" coupon book. Put all sorts of sappy, romantic ideas in here. You could put in a coupon for a back rub, foot rub, breakfast in bed, a day of pampering...you get the idea. Just be creative, and remember, think of what she likes.
  2. Let's go ahead and throw in the stereotypical gift ideas right now and get them out of the way. You got flowers, chocolates, candles, perfume... Now even though these are pretty standard ideas, they can still be given to her creatively. Remember, women love to see creativity and that you actually made some effort. Example, spell out "I love you" in chocolates on the bed, or hide flowers somewhere you know she will find them. I have also come to find that women love surprises.
  3. Poems. Yeah, I went there. Now, typically, a poem is not a gift all by itself. For example, you would write her a poem and give her a bracelet on Valentines day. Or you would write her a poem and give her some flowers on her birthday. You can even just randomly write her something just to show her how much you care, or if you're in the doghouse. But for the love of everything that is holy, DO NOT over do it. If your one of those sappy romantic types, ok, but no matter how much she says she likes it, you can over do it.
  4. Not all that glitters is gold, it's white gold! Women love jewelry. Always have, always will. Your only job is to find out which specific type of gem and or metal she prefers. For instance, my wife doesn't like the traditional yellow gold. So she gets either white gold or platinum, depending on how much money is in the bank at the time of course :). Once you find out what she likes, its pretty easy shopping for jewelry. This is a fail safe gift idea because every women loves jewelry. And if your women really really doesn't, consider yourself lucky because jewelry is probably the most expensive gifts we men have to get.

I think that will do it for today. Remember, this is a fairly new and young blog and we will be constantly adding different dating ideas and gift ideas, amongst other things. I thank you for visit our romantic dating idea site and hope your visit has been joyful as well as insightful.

Update for Romantic Date Ideas

Hello all! Just want to keep everyone updated to whats going on with our romantic date idea blog. So far we have listed a few awesome date ideas, but I think the direction we're gonna be taking is to break the date ideas into different categories, you know, such as date ideas perfect for last minute, which we already have, and ideas such as first date ideas.

Well today I think we will cover some good first date ideas. Typically, your first date ideas will cater to a younger audience, like sixteen year olds, but there are times when you are older and have to start dating again, and we will try to throw some ideas in there for you too. A few things to keep in mind for first date ideas...

Rule #1 - Make it cheap!

Confusios says "Never spend money on another mans wife". I dont know if he really said that, but the main jist of it is this: Don't go spending your life savings trying to impress someone, because you might break up or never go anywhere, and then that person will just move on, thus wasting your money on somebody else's loved one. Now, if you're in the younger category, you probablly don't have a whole lot of money anyways which makes this rule an easy one. Now if your a bit older, mid twenties and up, you probably have saved a penny or two, or make decent money, and the temptation to "spend to impress" will be strong. Don't do it! Other then what was mentioned above, you want the girl, or guy, to like you for you. This will help you ditch the gold diggers and find someone that really likes you, not your money. If you make really good money, I would recommend spending a few hundred dollars on an old junker and using that to pick up your first date, or maybe borrow your friends car, if its crappy enough. If a girl, or guy, really like you, this will only enhance the evening.

Rule #2 - F is friends who do stuff together, U is for you and me...

This seems rather obvious, but your first date should focus on being awesome and FUN! Well duh, you're telling me. But you might be surprised at how many first dates are your typical, standard, boring dinner and a movie. Dinner, not such a bad idea, but for a first date, you definately dont want it super romantic, and don't forget rule #1, keep it cheap. Now as for a movie, stay away for the first date. You cant talk and you waste 2 -3 hours for the entire experience. Your first date should be awesome and is super important and will help you decide to go on date #2. Remember, if you can figure out what kind of person he or she is on the first date, you can eliminate a much wasted second date if the person truly isnt right for you. And let me tell you, you dont figure that out by sitting quitely next to someone for 2 or more hours. So remember, make it fun!

Rule #3 - Play hard to get

This is probably my favorite rule, and maybe the most important. My dad's rule back when he was dating was "If there wasn't a kiss on the first date, then there wasn't a second.". Now, the only reason I mention that is because it is the opposite of playing hard to get, and you should do the exact opposite, and it is funny. Now, in playing hard to get, you dont really have to try all that hard or do anything special, just don't try to make any moves, if you know what I mean, and resist any moves put on you, as hard as that might be. Now, a kiss on the cheek and a big hug would be ok, and at least let her know you are interested. Just resist the urge to go farther, which will be hard, I know, especially when shes the one putting on the moves. In the long run, it will be for the best, trust me. It will keep you in the drivers seat and she will have a lot more respect for you in the end, if you make it that far. And by that far I mean marriage.

Ok, now that we have set the rules, look for some of those fun first date ideas that we spoke of earlier coming soon. We will try to come up with at least 5 or so good ideas to start off with, which will be focused on fun and awesome date ideas instead of romantic ones. Once again, thanks for visiting our romantic date idea blog!

More Awesome Date Ideas

Welcome back everyone to some more awesome date ideas. Now I know what you're thinking, how could it possibly get anymore awesome then the last post. To tell you the truth, its gonna be right along the same line. Cheap, easy date ideas. I think today's ideas will tend to lean towards the last minute ideas. So, here we go.

Last Minute Date Idea #1 - Look to the Paper

Now, after you get done reading the comics and sports, look to the entertainment section. Typically the Friday's paper will have all sorts of free, or next to free events, in your city or town. These make for great last minute ideas as they take no time to plan (other then the few minutes you spend searching through the paper), are usually pretty cheap, and can make for a really fun night. Plus, you get to chalk one up for the whole culture thing, which I'm sure your loved one would like, and maybe you too.

Last Minute Date Idea #2 - $5 Shopping Spree

Hurray! $5 shopping spree. Imagine all those wonderful things you could buy :). Just kidding folks. But seriously, a cheap shopping spree can be fun, and once again, doesn't take a whole lot of planning. Here's how it works. You take $5 each, or more if you're a high roller, and go down to your local mall or Wal-Mart and go nuts. Basically, the goal is to see who can get the coolest stuff, or the most stuff, or the weirdest stuff, or whatever you want it to be. Its cheap, and it can get pretty interesting, depending on who you play with.

Last Minute Date Idea #3 - I scream, you scream

This awesome date idea is for those of you have already made your dinner plans, but are wondering what to do next. Of course dessert silly. Now, how to make it fun, and cheap. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with ice cream, and if your date thinks otherwise, and is not lactose intolerant, maybe you should find a new date :). So, what do you do with the ice cream. Sure, you can scoop it in a bowl and throw some toppings on it. Not very fun. So I suggest ice cream sculpting to spice things up a bit. What the heck is ice cream sculpting you ask. Well, first you gotta get the ice cream that's in the square box. Then, you cut the box off from the ice cream. Now mind you, the ice cream needs to be really frozen so it is hard enough to get out of the box without getting completely deformed. Then, you throw the cube of ice cream on a plate and carve away. For you serious sculptors out there, put your chainsaw away. You're gonna want to use spoons or butter knives. Then throw on all the toppings you want, although you may or may not want to eat your beautiful creation. And if you still have toppings left over, well, use your imagination :)

So I hope these last minute date ideas will help you out. Their quick, fairly cheap, definitely don't take a whole lot of planning, and have the potential to be really fun. Thanks again for visiting and hope you come back for more awesome date ideas, as we will be adding more and more.

Valentines Day Gift Ideas

Valentines Day Date Ideas

February 14, the romance capital of the year, and also the most loved and hated day of the year. Of course this day I'm speaking of is Valentines day (also known as single awareness day :) ). Loved by those who have someone to celebrate with and have their whole day planned out, and hated, or ignored, by the single people of the world and those who do have a love in their life, but don't have a clue as what to do. Here, we will try and give you what we believe to be some fun and awesome date ideas, we'll also through in some romantic gift ideas as well!

Well, if you fall into this last category, and have absolutely no idea what to do on valentines day, you have come to the right place. Here we will be listing a list of creative date ideas, along with some date ideas that cost little to nothing. And of course if you are one of the few, very few that is, that already has your day planned out, good for you. Hopefully this article will just give you some great ideas to make your day even better. So read on, and don't fear, your romantic hero is here!

Cheap, But Awesome, Date Ideas:

Date Idea #1 - Picnic At The Park
I know what your thinking. This time of year, it's too cold to be having dinner outside. So this idea is only for you people living in paradise, to me that is any place it doesn't snow :). But seriously, this can be great way to kick off a romantic evening, and it doesn't take a whole lot of planning or money, which makes it my kind of date. All you need, a blanket, a meal (home cooked or for those of you who have a hard time in the kitchen, you can pick up a nice home cooked meal from Boston Market for a reasonable price), maybe some candles to set the mood ;), and if there is a pond at your park, bring along some cheap bread and feed the ducks. After that, just go on a walk and whisper sweet nothings into his/her ear :) Just kidding with that sweet nothings bit, but a walk is always a good way to help your meal settle.

Date Idea #2 - Go on a romantic hike
What the heck is a romantic hike? Well, its a hike taken on valentines day :). Hikes are a good way to get outside and have fun at the same time, which makes for a great date idea. If you live in a warmer climate, or at least in a place where it doesn't get too cold at night, bring along a light blanket and some flashlights so you can stop at gaze at the stars. And remember, its not always about gifts and presents. This date idea is perfect if you cant come up with any romantic gift ideas. If you're someplace in the country, far enough from city lights, watching the stars can be very romantic. And if you're in a secluded enough area....

Date Idea #3 - Making a meal together, romantically
If you haven't figured it out by now, I consider any sort of date idea that you do on valentines day to be romantic. So, how do you put a romantic spin on something that is typically a chore? Well, spice it up of course. Try doing it naked....just kidding. Please do not try doing it this way, for the sake of your loved one :). Besides, you can save that part for later. I would suggest trying something new, in the kitchen. Taking on a new challenge together can be very unifying, and also leaves room for some good laughs. And who knows, maybe you'll end up learning something new. And remember, don't forget to leave room for dessert, if you know what I mean :)

These are just a few of some romantic date ideas that are good for valentines day. And quite frankly, good for any day. As this is a new blog, we will be adding more awesome date ideas quite frequently so keep coming back. We also plan to add a whole bunch of other sappy romantic junk, such as great anniversary gift ideas, romantic poems, places to see, along with funny date stories and dating stats.
